Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s engagement is back on!
After sparking buzz of a reconciliation by flashing the diamond sparkler the Aussie actor gave her four years ago, a source close to Cyrus told People that they are officially back together.
“Miley is beyond happy to be engaged to Liam again,” the insider said..
Rumors that the two had reunited first began over New Years, after the
pair were spotted getting cozy at the Byron Bay Falls Music Festival in
Hemsworth’s native Australia.
The speculation intensified earlier this week when the "We Can't Stop"
singer was seen wearing the diamond ring that the "Hunger Games" star
proposed with in 2012. The couple split up a year later.
But the pair’s rekindled romance didn’t happen overnight, with the
source noting that “it might seem sudden, but they have been very close
for the past few months.”
"They just wanted to keep their relationship out of the spotlight while
they figured things out," the insider added. "Liam never liked how
exposed his life was with Miley."
To that end, the provocative pop star is said to have been “making changes for their relationship to work.”
“They both seem much more mature,” the source added.
Now that they are back together, the couple is reportedly planning on
moving in together before planning their walk down the aisle.
While the 23-year-old singer “wants to get married,” it seems her fiancé’s family needed some convincing.
"His family was very hesitant about a marriage in the past, but they
really got to know Miley better when she spent time in Australia a few
weeks ago,” the source said.
“Everyone seems excited that they are back together."
