Not even Thanos could have been so
dastardly.
The first teaser trailer for “Avengers:
Age of Ultron ” hit the web unexpectedly Wednesday – six days before
the planned release during the next episode of ABC’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” –
the product of a nefarious leak.
As long as the Hulk was out of the bag, however,Marvel
Studios decided to
officially release the first-look at the upcoming sequel to 2012’s “The
Avengers,” the third highest-grossing film of all time.
And. It. Looks. Awesome.

And. It. Looks. Awesome.
“I’m going to show you
something beautiful,” says the titular villain in “Age of Ultron,” an
indestructible robot voiced by James
Spader .
“Everyone screaming for mercy.”
Geeks were probably screaming for joy
watching the rest of the two minutes of footage, which also gave the first real
look at the two newest Avengers – the magic-wielding Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth
Olsen ) and her speedster brother Quicksilver (Aaron
Taylor-Johnson ).
But the real star of the trailer
is Ultron itself, the creation of Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark in a misguided
effort to direct Iron Man's drone forces to ease the pressure on the human
members of the super-team.
Instead the artificially intelligent
addition to the team computes that it would make more sense to wipe out the
human race.
It's a threat that makes Loki
look like Gandhi.
"This is the end of what I
started," says Stark ominously.
Amid a succession of glimpses
of impressive action sequences on the undercard is Marvel’s equivalent of a
heavy weight bout – a snippet of the throwdown between Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and
Iron Man, who’s decked out in what comic book fans know and love as his
Hulkbuster armor.
Directed by Joss Whedon, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” also brings backs "Avengers"
stars Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johanssonand Samuel L. Jackson and
hits theaters on May 1, 2015.
