The semi-finals of the Miss
Black Africa UK 2012 pageant took place on Saturday the 30th of June at KC’s
Bar in Holloway Road London. 40 girls from 14 countries
battled for a place in the finals taking place on the 6th of October at the
Royal Regency Hall, London. The founder, Dele Onabowu
explained that the girls were all winners as they had received a total of 643
applications this year.

Organisation is formed with a mission to use the appeal of a Beauty Queen to
groom young women as positive role models and impart into them, the spirit of
giving and helping the less privileged. We encourage these young girls to strive
to improve their communities. Our mission is to groom African Queens as great
Ambassadors for humanity and advocating for the needy by carrying out projects
in the UK and Africa. The pageant
redefines the African woman as a leader and a vital partner in the development
of Africa and the world.
Judges
Judging at the semi-finals were Judges, Ibukun Jegede (multi Award
winning model ), Abena Adjeiiwaah - Fashion Designer and CEO House of
Adjeiwaah), Funmi Odegbami (CEO Mink Cosmetics and daughter of the
mathematical Segun Odegbami), Kunle Lawani (sponsor and CEO LWI
components), Heaven Afrika (Model and Big Brother UK 2010 Housemate) ,
reigning Miss Black Africa UK, Ruvimbo Chinzou and model (Arna Walts).

The reigning queen, Ruvimbo
Chinzou has been very busy since being crowned on the
8th of October 2011. She has raised thousands of pounds for the Mother of Peace
Orphanage and Street Child Africa.
Five of the Semi-finalists, selected by the
public online vote will gain automatic qualification to the finals whilst the
