Aface to champion the cause
of peace is the aim of the Face of Peace Africa Pageant which was launched in Lagos recently. Speaking at
a media parley, the organisers Blu-Moon Imaginationz, said the pageant which
will involve a selection of contestants with the abilities to champion the
cause for global peace in Africa will include ladies within the range of 18
to 25 years of age.
On debut of the pageant, Ify
Concepta, the founder of the pageant and winner of the Miss Peace Nigeria 2010
said “Face of Peace Africa is a means by which we wish to contribute to Africa where crisis and chaos seek
to destroy our continent; it is also an avenue to promote gender equality and
empowering the girl child. Blu-Moon Imaginationz is committed to working
closely with our customers’ personality and portfolio.
We understand what they
need and bringing their dreams to reality.”
Emmanuel Eyaba, co-founder
and MD at Blu-Moon Imaginationz also took time out to emphasise the vision of
the pageant which has an arts slant to it saying , ‘’it seeks to promote peace
in Africa especially in Nigeria by emphasising honour and mutual respect which
are qualities lacking in most beauty pageants obtainable in the country today’’
Winners of the event will
benefit from an array of prizes that include cars, cash prizes and juicy
contracts.
