Silicon
Knights has been going through a not too good moment especially after Epic
Games’ $4.45 million dollar lawsuit which also forced Silicon Knights to recall
all available copies of Too Human and X-Men: Destiny.
In 2007 Silicon Knights
sued Epic game for failure to provide a working game engine; a few months after
the first suing, Epic Games counter-sued Silicon Knights, claiming that they
were using the engine without paying royalties. On May 2012 Epic Games defeated
Silicon Knight’s lawsuit, winning its counter-suit.
Recently
the team has lost some important members like studio founder Denis Dyack and a
few others who have now formed Precursor Games: the new team is currently
working on a spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness called Shadow Of The
Eternals.

Despite
all these troubles, it looks like the team is still alive and quite busy
according to Silicon Knights chief financial officer, Mike Mays.
Other
than confirming that the studio is still active, we don’t know much more:
Silicon Knights has not filed for bankruptcy and it has been recently relocated
elsewhere. The total number of team members is current unknown just like the
current projects of the team. However if the team is indeed ” busy” as Mays has
stated something new will definitely come up in the near future.
