1. Christian Eriksen – click the arrow for more top targets still available
There
may only be weeks remaining in the summer transfer window, but there
are still some serious stars potentially up for grabs. Names ranging
from world class veterans to talented youngsters could yet be snapped up
by some of the Premier League's biggest clubs. One such talent is
Ajax's Christian Eriksen, who continues to tempt Spurs and Liverpool,
having confessed he is open to the possibility of a move. Click the
arrows for more of the best players left on the market this summer...
2. Geoffrey Kondogbia
Sevilla
president Jose Maria del Nido appeared to downplay suggestions that
midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia could leave the club this summer by saying
he 'isn't in the market', but then he followed that by reminding
everyone that 'anyone who wants him has to pay his buyout clause'.
3. Fabio Coentrao
Real
Madrid man Fabio Coentrao looks likely to become the final player to
exit the Bernabeu this summer. The talented wingback has never really
settled since putting on the white shirt, and is looking for more
regular playing time ahead of the 2014 World Cup. Spurs could yet land
him in negotiations over Gareth Bale.
4. Burak Yilmaz
Galatasaray's
Burak Yilmaz has pace, power, technique and finishing, so it's no
surprise that he is being tracked by several big sides. The Turkish club
have admitted that major offers will be taken seriously and Liverpool
are believed to be keen.
5. Pablo Daniel Osvaldo
Pablo
Osvaldo has a reputation for being a bit of a hot head but his talent
in front of goal is indisputable. The Italy international has made a
habit of scoring spectacular strikes over the course of his career, and
Roma are said to be looking to move him on this summer. Southampton,
Spurs and Inter are interested.
6. Adil Rami
Only
a brave man would get in the way of towering Valencia centre-back Adil
Rami, and after the France international publicly criticised his
debt-ridden club this summer, his future at the Mestalla looked to be
numbered. Man City, Arsenal and Spurs have all been linked with him at
one time or another.
7. Samuel Eto'o
Anzhi's
desperate financial situation has suddenly thrust one of the finest
strikers of the Champions League era into the market. Samuel Eto'o may
be 32, but still maintains an exquisite first touch and eye for goal. A
reunion with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea is high on his agenda, but murmurs
of Man Unitedmaking a move have also
8. Blaise Matuidi
With
only one year left on his contract, it's make or break for PSG with
Blaise Matuidi, so the Parisians could yet decide to sell before August
is over to avoid losing him for nothing next year. An excellent all
round defensive midfielder, he has added more of an attacking side to
his game in recent years. Liverpool and Man City are watching closely.
9. Keisuke Honda
Keisuke
Honda looked all but certain to be joining AC Milan this summer, but at
the last minute CSKA Moscow put the breaks on the move, holding things
up for the Rossoneri and opening a new window of opportunity for any
other club interested in the Japan international. Liverpool and Arsenal
have both watched him in the past, could they seize this chance to
finally sign him?
10. Zlatan Ibrahimovic
With
every passing day fresh stories emerge in the French press revealing
the strained relationship between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and new PSG manager
Laurent Blanc, and after the Parisians brought in Edinson Cavani this
summer, could the fear of Zlatan rocking the boat force them to consider
moving the Swede on? After scoring a hat-trick against Norway this
week, Ibra reminded the world of just how good he is. Would Jose
Mourinho be tempted to reunite with the title-winning specialist at
Chelsea?
