Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Etienne Capoue from Toulouse.
The 25-year-old becomes Andre Villas-Boas' fourth signing of the summer, following Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and Roberto Soldado to White Hart Lane.
A defensive midfielder who can also operate at the back, Capoue has been capped seven times for France, scoring once.
"We are delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with Toulouse for the transfer of Etienne Capoue," read a statement on Spurs' official website.
Capoue could be in line to make his debut for the club against Crystal Palace on Sunday, in their first Premier League game of the new campaign.
