Arsene Wenger has
confirmed for the first time that he has been offered a new deal to stay at Arsenal beyond this season.
The 63-year-old, who is
currently the Premier League's longest-serving manager, is out of contract next
summer.
And after a difficult
season last year, it was suggested this could be his final campaign at the
helm.
However, reports have
emerged that Wenger is ready to put pen to paper on a fresh deal, which will
keep him at the Emirates for another two years.
And, when asked directly
if a contract has been offered, he said: "Yes, I did not deny that. But
nothing has changed."
