Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood insists he is ready for his next
management job, despite being sacked after only six months at Spurs.
The north London outfit
gave the 45-year-old the boot at end of the Premier League
season, having guided Spurs to a sixth-placed finish and Europa
League qualifcation.
However, the former
youth coach was adamant his tricky first taste at first-team management has not
put him off a taking another position.
Despite drawing
criticism from fans throughout his short tenure at White Hart Lane, Sherwood
also said he would not have done anything differently as boss and admitted he
wasn’t taken aback by the club’s decision.
"Put it this way, I
didn't fall off my chair when they told me, but obviously I was disappointed to
lose my job,” he told ITV.
"I really enjoyed
it and I can't wait to get back in. Perversely I like doing it - to want to do
that job you must be crazy
"But I knew what I
was going into. There's a lot of tension and pressure occupies your mind
totally. I was waking up in the night thinking of teams, who you should play.
"It was a massive
learning curve, my first opportunity to manage.
"I've seen wins,
defeats and draws and I've seen a few tantrums - and the sack, which I didn't
want to see. Would I do anything different? Probably not."
