It is being reported that Diego Costa is about to finally
seal his £32m transfer from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea.
Here, talkSPORT has the latest on why the deal is being held
up and what it will mean for the Blues' current strikers.
According to The Telegraph, the £32m
transfer of Costa to Chelsea is on the verge of completion. All that remains is
a medical, which has been held up due to a hamstring injury, but there is
confidence a deal could be concluded before he represents Spain at the World
Cup.
The Mail also claim that
Costa's hamstring woes are all that is holding up the transfer, reporting that
personal terms between the player and Chelsea have been agreed.
The Mirror say the deal for
Costa will be more like £50m when both the transfer fee and personal terms are
taken into consideration. Demba Ba is set to leave
but Fernando Torres wants to stay and fight for his
place.
Costa's arrival could see Lukaku sent out on loan again next
season, say The Express. However, the
club are finding it hard to sell him at his £25m price tag.
