Rihanna and Drake Avoid Each Other at Party

RIHANNA and Drake kept their distance at VIP Room early Monday.

The pair — who recently broke up again after a brief romance — acknowledged each other with a smile after Drake arrived with Lil Wayne and jumped in the DJ booth at a party following their appearance at the Hot 97 Summer Jam at MetLife Stadium.

“Rihanna was at the table in front of the DJ booth,” a source told New York Post gossip column Page Six.

“They smiled at each other, but that was it. He kept to himself and played some new songs. Rihanna danced with her friends.”

Nicki Minaj, who sang at the concert earlier and brought Drake and Lil Wayne onstage, was also there along with Trey Songz, Tyson Beckford and Wiz Khalifa.

Recent reports claimed Drake is down in the dumps after his split from Rihana.

“She gave him his marching orders and he’s destroyed,” a source said.

“Drake was ready to walk away for good after Rihanna dropped him, but she has this power over him. All she needs to do is snap her fingers and he’ll go running back to her.

“Drake is convinced that Rihanna has self-esteem issues and is pushing him away because she doesn’t believe in or trust true love, which isn’t surprising after the crazy stuff that happened with her and Chris Brown.

“All of Drake’s crew wish he’d forget about her and move on but he’s hooked — no matter how upset, hurt and angry he is with her right now.”
