Dr. Jide Idris and his delegations were at the office of the Man of God to
discuss with him on the best ways of controlling his crusades in order not to
allow victims of the Ebola virus into his church and the country.
According to him, “We have our strategies that we intend to share with you. Again, we need to know the resources you have here because whether it is one or two cases, if they are allowed to get out, it is a major problem. We are here to work together on how to contain this disease.”
Acknowledging their visit, Prophet T.B Joshua, promised to work with the government to avert the spread of the virus and stated that instead of allowing people from other countries to come into Nigeria, he will take his crusade to their countries, adding that he will now suspend some of his church healing programmes.
“I am ready to work with you. I love my country and I will be ready to work with you. Even if it is a rumour, there is need to secure our environment to ensure that it is safe,” he noted.
Following the recent outbreak of
the Ebola virus in
West Africa, and the first recorded death in Nigeria, a courtesy visit has been
paid to the General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nation, Prophet T.B
Joshua, by the Lagos State Government, which was led by the State Commissioner
for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, at its Ikotun Egbe headquarters.
