Delegates
from Ogun State at the just concluded National Conference have been sharing
their experiences with the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.
12 out of the 23 delegates paid a courtesy call on the State Governor
where they listed state creation, state constitution, state policing as part
of the recommendations and resolutions reached at the conference that would
better the lot of Nigeria.
The Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee that midwifed the
national discuss and a member, Femi Okunrounmu, led his kinsmen on the
experience sharing visit to the State Governor.
Governor Amosun lauded the performance of the indigenes of the state
during the national assignment.
Praising their performance, Governor Amosun used the opportunity to
preach national unity and expressed hope that the country would someday truly
practice fiscal federalism.
All the delegates and the Governor believe that with the right
political will from the Federal Government to implement the recommendations of
the National Conference, the nation, Nigeria and the citizens would have a lot
to benefit.
