Pop singer Kesha says she was drugged and raped by her music producer
and nearly died young from his abuse, a blockbuster lawsuit obtained by the
Daily News states.
The “Die Young” singer alleges producer Lukasz (Dr. Luke) Gottwald once
forced her to snort an illicit drug before a flight and then “continuously
forced himself” on her while she was high in the sky.
In another instance, she claims Gottwald forced her to drink with him
and then slipped her a date-rape drug disguised as “sober pills,” according to
the lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The “Tik
Tok” singer, whose real name is Kesha
Rose Sebert, claims she woke up naked in Gottwald’s bed the following
afternoon feeling sore, sick and unable to remember how she got there.
“Ms. Sebert immediately called her mother and made a ‘fresh complaint,’
telling her that she was naked in Gottwald’s hotel room, she did not know where
her clothes were, that Dr. Luke had raped her, and that she needed to go to the
emergency room,” the lawsuit claims.
Gottwald, 41, denied the allegations Tuesday as he filed a breach of
contract lawsuit against Kesha in New York.
He claimed Kesha and her mom, Pebe
Sebert, concocted the “lurid” lies as part of a “blatant act of
extortion.”
Kesha, 27, claims Gottwald threatened to destroy both her and her
family if she reported him, so she was too terrified to go to the police.
She claims he once physically attacked her at his Malibu house, forcing
her to flee barefoot down a coastal highway littered with broken glass.
“He physically backed Ms. Sebert into a corner, where she curled up
into a ball, crying and fearing for her life,” the lawsuit says.
Kesha claims the abuse caused her to suffer from depression and bulimia
nervosa so debilitating that she entered in-patient rehab in January.
Her doctors concluded that ongoing contact with Gottwald would be “life
threatening,” the lawsuit claims.

“The facts presented in our lawsuit paint a picture of a man
who is controlling and willing to commit horrible acts of abuse in an attempt
to intimidate an impressionable, talented, young female artist into submission
for his personal gain,” her lawyer Mark Geragos said.
