after Zendaya hair comment:
Kelly Osbourne has given her co-star Giuliana Rancic and the show
“Fashion Police" an ultimatum — issue an apology for the comments of
Zendaya’s hair smelling like weed, or she quits.
The 30-year-old host went on a Twitter rant one day after Rancic said that Zendaya’s hair during the red carpet at the Oscars looked as though it smelled like “patchouli oil.”
"I'm giving everyone involved 24 hours to make it right or the world
will hear how I really feel," Osbourne vented on her Twitter.
She followed her comment saying that she does not ‘condone racism’ and
as a result she is seriously questioning whether to stay on the show.
On Monday night, Zendaya posted on Twitter that she felt Rancic’s comments were both “offensive” and “ignorant slurs.”
"To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of
patchouli oil or 'weed' is not only a large stereotype but outrageously
offensive," she wrote.
Zendaya's comments sparked support by fans praising the Disney Channel star for standing up for herself.
Following the major Twitter response from fans, Rancic, 40, tweeted to Zendaya an apology for her comments on the show.
“I’m sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian
chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would,” she explained.
