Nollywood Question Of The Day:
The Nigeria movie industry has created lots of stars over time and
more are still unveiling as the day goes by with various producers
scrambling to have the best acts on their production set.
Are
these artistes affordable or to expensive? Whatever the case is, using a
good actor to interpret one’s script is always a plus for every
production.
To analyse some certain actors in the industry, Nigeriafilms will take a look at the comedy aspect of the sector as great but few talents abound in that area of acting.
Picking some of the few players in comedy, the likes of Nkem Owoh
comes to mind as many see him as one of the most 'Foolish' actor the
industry has so far had. He is very versatile and is always ready to
give his script interpretation that juicy taste that holds audience
spell bound and asking for more. He has featured in many movies with the
hit movie, 'Osofia in London'.
The likes of John Okafor aka Mr Ibu, is another
act that can make one urinate on his body while watching the actor
display his acting prowess. Imagine how his children will sit at home to
watch their father get drunk that he even sleeps in the bush or steals
better still, acting the role of a mad man. Well, all these roles help's
to put food on his table though but the actor is always at his best to
deliver.
Charles Awurum is another clown to pick and
with his pot-belly, one wonders how he manages to run after doing
something bad in the village. He is a good 'thief' and very good at
deceiving people to get what he wants but very lazy and smart at
blackmailing people. These are roles one can easily catch him interpret
to the best of his capacity yet, the actor is not relenting in his
efforts to be on top of his game.
With the latest entrant into the kings of clowns table is Akwa Ibom state born actor, Imeh Bishop,
who's acting skills marvels many. The actor is just the toast of many
as within his short entrant into the industry, he is one of the most
sorts after comic actor who is fast gaining ground both in his state and
in Lagos. The actor has featured in countless movies with the most
popular one, 'Okon Calabar and Okon Goes to school'
