despite West Ham injury troubles

New Zealand are hopeful that West Ham defender Winston Reid
will still be able to join the squad for their game against South Korea -
despite being ruled out since the start of March with a hamstring injury.
Reid has been forced to miss the last two games against
Arsenal and Sunderland and manager Sam Allardyce was hoping he would use the
international break to regain full fitness.
But New Zealand coach Anthony Hudson has revealed he is
constantly holding talks with his captain and says he will give him every
chance to prove his fitness for the friendly game in Seoul.
Hudson said: "Winston is our captain and leader and we
will continue to monitor his situation closely.
"He is obviously an important member of our squad and
we will give him every chance to be involved and we will make a final decision
later in the week."
