Crystal Palace have
made an approach for Montpellier defender
Daniel Congre, according to reports in France.
The 30-year-old will have just one year left on his contract
by the summer and reports have claimed he could be on the move.
According to France Football, Palace have made an enquiry to
Montpellier regarding Congre's availability.
The Frenchman has already attracted interest from other
clubs, including Torino and Palace's Premier League
rivals West Ham.
Montpellier have offered the former France Under-21
international a contract extension until 2019, but he is yet to put pen to
paper as he weighs up his options.
With potentially just one year left on his contract come the
summer, it is thought a bid of around £1.5m may persuade Montpellier to part
with Congre.
