Rebel Wilson takes wing at 'MTV Movie Awards' as an alternative to Victoria's Secret models

 

Rebel Wilson reveals to Confidenti@l that she wore angel wings to the “MTV Movie Awards” on Sunday to protest the size of models usually used by big brands — including Victoria’s Secret. “I think one of the messages is that we are all beautiful and sometimes girls look at Victoria’s Secret models and think to model themselves after that. I really don’t think that is the best,” she told Confidenti@l. “Even though they are called models, they are not the best people to model yourself after, and I would like to encourage other girls to think like that.” Wilson said she had the wings made specially for the night by a costumer in Dubai and had them flown in, so to speak, for the ceremony. She added they were extremely heavy, too. “I love it. The wings are slightly uncomfortable, especially when people knock into you. This will be my my cardio for the day. I have had to walk about three flights of steps and these weigh about 20 pounds,” she joked. Asked if she would ever walk in a show for the lingerie giant, she said she sometimes wears their bras. “The director Michael Bay got me onto those,” she said.

MORE SHADES FOR DAKOTA

 The dog days of spring have arrived for Dakota Johnson. The 25-year-old “Fifty Shades of Grey” star left the leather leash and collar to her dog Zeppelin while strolling through lower Manhattan on Monday. The rock ’n’ roll look suits Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith’s actress daughter. Next up for Johnson is “How to Be Single,” where she’ll reportedly co-star with Leslie Mann and Rebel Wilson.

GISELE ALWAYS STRIKING

Goodbye catwalks, hello bowling alleys. Amid Brazilian newspaper reports that Gisele Bundchen may retire from the runway after strutting her stuff in next week’s Sao Paulo Fashion Week, the 34-year-old supermodel was spotted over the weekend at Bowlmor Chelsea Piers. “Gisele, sans Tom, but with the kids, was at Bowlmor Chelsea Piers playing laser tag and arcade games,” said an alley cat on the scene. Hubby Tom Brady was also seen at Bowlmor a couple weeks ago playing laser tag.

Lea Michele hit Coachella with boyfriend Matthew Paetz. The adorable “Glee” star — clad in American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie — rocked a festival look in cutoff denim shorts, a fringe bag and ankle boots.

SPELLING'S HOLIDAY WAS SCORCHING
9021-ow! Dean McDermott says his “90210” star wife, Tori Spelling, is on the mend after being singed by a hibachi grill on Easter Sunday. “It was an unfortunate accident. She had a little burn. We turned it around and had a lovely Easter,” he told Newser Jeanette Settembre. McDermott wouldn’t say if they’d be pressing charges against the Benihana Restaurant where the accident occurred. “I don’t know. That’s something I don’t want to comment on. She had a skin graft.”

 

SEINFELD AND NOAH PERK UP

Trevor Noah, who has been branded sexist and anti-Semitic since he was announced as Jon Stewart’s replacement because of old tweets, was interviewed by the “Seinfeld” creator for his “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” Web show on Monday. Jerry Seinfeld and Noah were spotted walking around DUMBO and then hit the Mets’ home opener with Larry David.

A fictional First Lady will follow a former First Lady as a speaker at Tina Brown’s upcoming Women in the World Summit. Confidenti@l has learned “House of Cards” star Robin Wright will participate in the April 24 event at Lincoln Center, where she’ll be joined by UN Ambassador Samantha Power. It was announced last week that presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will address the crowd on April 23. Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren and Barbra Streisand also will take part.

“How I Met Your Mother” star Cobie Smulders is very excited about living here. “I like how in New York it seems like every day could be an adventure, and where some days I’m just like, ‘Let’s go walk around the city and see what happens,’ ” she told Women’s Health.
