"If she wins the election, the chances are 100 percent that I'll move back," the former president told David Letterman Tuesday night on "The Late Show." "By the way, if I'm asked," he added.

To help get one step closer to moving back into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Clinton said he gave his wife campaigning advice.

"I tell her to just go out there and have a good time," Clinton shares. "Tell the American people what you want to do, explain what the challenges are from her point of view, and just be grateful. We've had a wonderful life."

The new grandfather, who noted that the birth of baby Charlotte last September has brought Hillary and himself lots of "gratitude," was asked by Letterman how he will tell Charlotte about his time as a world leader.
“I’ll have a more important role," Clinton said. "I’ll just be her grandfather.”
