Bournemouth eye cut-price deal for Portugal World Cup striker

Bournemouth eye cut-price deal for Portugal World Cup striker after winning promotion to the Premier LeagueBournemouth are set to make a bid for Sporting Braga striker Eder.

The South coast side secured promotion to the Premier League for the first time in their history, and with the club in good financial health boss Eddie Howe is planning a summer spending spree to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Eder, who has 17 caps for Portugal and featured in last summer's World Cup in Brazil, is among the names on Howe's radar.
The 27-year-old was linked with a switch to Southampton in January and is keen to try his luck in England.

The Cherries are now ready to offer him the chance of Premier League football and, with just a year left on his contract, Eder could move to the Goldsands for just £2million.
