Move over Bruce and Demi, there’s a new star in the family.
Rumer Willis emerged from the shadow of her Hollywood heavyweight
parents to win the Mirror Ball trophy Tuesday night on “Dancing With the
Stars.”
“You are as good as anyone who’s ever been on ‘Dancing With the
Stars,’” gushed judge Len Goodman after Willis nailed her final dance.
The fluid foxtrot/paso doble combination earned the 26-year-old
aspiring actress a perfect 120 score after her final three dances.
Willis and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy beat out runners-up singer
Riker Lynch and his pro partner, Allison Holker, who also hit a high
note with a perfect 120 from the judges.
War hero Noah Galloway completed his mission just making it this far. A
double amputee who lost a leg and an arm serving in Iraq, he teamed
with pro partner Sharna Burgess to provide the season’s biggest
inspiration.
Though the 33-year-old vet was clearly the fan favorite, especially after proposing to fiancee Jamie Boyd on the air a few weeks ago, but his 108 final tally was too far below his two fellow finalists to have a chance at the title.
The night, however, belonged to Willis, who was almost as overcome with
emotion as her mother, Demi Moore, as the confetti rained down on the
dance floor.
