The Lagos State Election Petitions Tribunal will today commence
sitting on petitions submitted to it by aggrieved candidates, who
contested in the March 28 and April 11 elections.
Those that filed petitions before the tribunal included the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Lagos West Senatorial District, Mr.
Segun Adewale and his counterpart for Lagos East Senatorial District,
Mr. Olabisi Salis-Fakos.
The other 15 petitions were said to have been filed by House of
Assembly candidates who felt aggrieved with results announced for the
April 11 elections.
Lagos State Chief judge, Justice Oluwafunmilayo Atilade, had created
the space for the State Election Tribunal in the newly inaugurated
Roseline Omotosho Court in Ikeja.
