Justice
Mosaics are usually the preserve of the
Kop, but on 23 September 2012, at a home game against Manchester United,
three sides of Anfield made a statement at the first game following the
independent panel's report into the Hillsborough disaster. While the
Kop picked out the words, 'The Truth' and the home section of the
Anfield Road end declared '96'. But with the truth about the disaster
now irrefutable, the Centenary Stand's message signalled what needed to
now follow: 'Justice'.

Ray Kennedy
In April 2009, Liverpool and Arsenal
played out a spectacular 4-4 draw. The match is chiefly remembered for
the fact that Andrei Arshavin scored all four goals for the visitors,
and that it effectively ended Liverpool's hopes of winning the title.
But that night was poignant for another reason, as both sets of fans
paid tribute to one of the greatest players to pull on a red shirt –
Liverpool or Arsenal red. Ray Kennedy helped Liverpool dominate in
England and Europe in the late 1970s and 1980s, having won the double
with the Gunners in 1971, but was sadly struck down with Parkinson's at
the age of just 35. A fund to help pay for his care, 'Ray of Hope', as
well as fund the Parkinson's Disease Society, organised a mosaic display
of Kennedy's numbers – '5' on the Kop for his Liverpool shirt, and '10'
in the away end for his Arsenal number.
Allez
Liverpool needed a 2-0 win over Italian
champions Roma to progress to the 2002 Champions League last eight and,
with French manager Gerard Houllier back on the bench for the first time
since his heart surgery five months earlier, the Kop roared them on to
victory. The night began with a message in French to both the team and
Houllier, 'Allez' (come on).
