Liverpool will have to find
in excess of £20million to push through the summer signing of Spain defender
Inigo Martinez.
Real Sociedad boss David Moyes does not want to sell his star
defender, but is aware there is a buy-out clause which the Merseysiders could
be prepared to trigger.
Reports in Spain claim Brendan Rodgers has already had a tentative offer
of £14m rejected, but now they are steeling themselves for a more serious swoop
from Anfield.
The 23-year-old centre back was sent off in his first
appearance for Spain in the 2012 London Olympics and won his first and only
full senior cap to date as a substitute against Ecuador in August 2013.
