The Uruguay international, who signed for the south coast
side for £12m in August 2012, has struggled to hold down a regular first-team
berth at St. Mary's and has spent the entire season on loan at the KC Stadium,
featuring 23 times.
And now, with the 24-year-old set to return to the Saints,
boss Ronald Koeman has wasted no time in making the
attacker available for transfer straight away.
According to Italian news outlet Tutto Mercato Web, several
clubs are interested in Ramirez and he is likely to be made available for a
cut-price fee with only one year left to run on his existing contract.
Southampton signed Ramirez from Italian outfit Bologna but
he is unlikely to return to the club given they now play their football in Serie B.
