Barca have been drawn as the 'away side', paving the way for the Old
Lady to line up in her famous black and white striped outfit. Andrea Pirlo is
going to look the bees knees, isn't he? The mercurial midfielder and goalkeeper
Gianluigi Buffon both have happy memories of Berlin as it was the
location of Italy's 2006 World Cup final triumph over France.
However, the Bianconeri haven't managed quite as much success in recent
years, with the Italian giants reaching their first Champions
League final since 2003. They will be desperate to secure a third
European crown, meanwhile, their opponents have enjoyed a decade of
dominance.
Luis Enrique's side are aiming for a fourth Champions League title
in 10 years and have lost against Serie A opposition on just eight
occasions.
We know, that's the definition of perfectly poised. We can't wait.
