This stunning NoHo pad certainly has the ex-factor.
Susan Brown Bloomberg, ex-wife of billionaire former Mayor Michael
Bloomberg, has listed her duplex penthouse at 41 Bond St. for $11.7
million, the Daily News has learned.
The 2,700-square-foot downtown pad has 11-foot sliding glass doors from
Switzerland that open to 1,500 square feet of private outfoor terraces,
two bedrooms, two bathrooms, 7½ -inch Austrian white oak floors and
fireplaces lined with smooth bluestone.
Bloomberg snagged the apartment for $8.2 million in 2011 with the help
of a $500,000 bridge loan from her deep-pocketed ex. That was shortly
after she unloaded another dowtown pad, at One Kenmare Square, for $11.6
million.
She didn’t hesitate to make the Bond St. property her own, filling it
her own style of ultra bold, lavish furnishings, including but not
limited to expansive Persian rugs, animal print chaise lounges and
purple crushed velvet drapery. The highly-coveted building was designed
and developed by real estate firm DDG.
It’s not clear why the former Mrs Bloomberg is selling up. Listing
broker Arlene Weidberg of Halstead Property declined to comment.
Bloomberg, who has been divorced from the Bloomberg LP chief since
1993, kept playing house with her ex in his E. 79th St. townhouse for
years after their split. He’s since moved on with new love Diana Taylor.
Susan also reportedly owns a 20-acre horse farm in Westchester County’s North Salem.
