That's the view of Sun journalist Neil Custis, who told the
Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show Manchester City were right to offer £30m for the
20-year-old.
The Blues have seen the bid rejected out of hand by the
Anfield club, who want a bumper bid for the England flyer.
“Raheem Sterling is not worth £50million,”
he told the Alan Brazil
Sports Breakfast show.
"If Angel Di Maria was worth just over that, having
proved himself at the highest level in Champions League finals and World Cups, how can
Sterling come close? I would think £30m is about right.”
