Officer Stacey Staniland, 29, of Staten Island, has been arrested three times in less than a year, police say.

Officer Stacey Staniland was arrested Tuesday after crashing her motorcycle in Staten Island.
Cops spotted the drug paraphernalia when Staniland reached into her bag to get identification, according to police.

In December, Staniland broke into the Staten Island home of her mother’s boyfriend and stole jewelry, which she later pawned, police said. She was arrested soon after.
She was again arrested in May on charges of possession of a hypodermic needle and criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Staniland was temporarily suspended after the first two incidents, which are still working their way through the courts.
Police said Staniland would be suspended again on the most recent arrest.
