Miley Cyrus probably won’t be rooting for Taylor Swift at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The pop star sounded off on Swift’s music video for “Bad Blood” in an interview for the September issue of Marie Claire.
“I don’t get the violence revenge thing,” Cyrus said about the clip,
which features Swift seeking revenge against a former friend with the
help of several of her celebrity pals.
“That’s supposed to be a good example?" she asked. "And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my t-----s out?”
“I’m not sure how t-----s are worse than guns.”
Even though Cyrus isn’t a fan of the video, she’ll be emceeing the 2015
MTV VMAs, which has showered “Bad Blood” with several nominations,
including Video of the Year.
Besides revealing her thoughts on Swift’s music video, the “Wrecking
Ball” singer also called out the music industry for having double
standards for male and female artists.
“There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it,” the star said.
“Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie
whore.”
