What bankruptcy?
50cent |
It appears 50 Cent is doing a bit better than he has led on after he
bragged on Instagram that he was finishing up his African mansion,
despite filing for bankruptcy in July.
The rapper showed a video showcasing a large beautiful home with a pool
attached to it. Workers can be seen in the clip doing construction and
cleaning up.
"My crib is almost finished in AFRICA," he captioned the video. "I'm
gonna have the craziest housewarming party ever. I'll explain later. I
got a good life, man."
The "Hate It or Love It" artist, whose legal name is Curtis Jackson,
found himself in financial hot water after he was ordered by a judge to
pay Lastonia Leviston $5 million in compensatory damages and $2 million
in punitive damages after posting a sex tape of her in 2009.
Leviston's lawyer claims that Jackson "filed this bankruptcy as a
strategic move to delay and frustrate (the sex tape case) and since that
did not work, (he) is now trying to use the bankruptcy proceeding to
frustrate (Leviston's) attempts to protect her rights as a creditor."
