Is Jose losing it?
The Portuguese coach has seen his side make a disastrous
start to their Premier League
title defence, with Saturday's 3-1 reverse at Goodison Park leaving the
Blues 11 points behind leaders Manchester City.
Mourinho insisted he was not feeling the heat after the game,
but his frustrations boiled over as he was reportedly involved in a
bust-up with managerial counterpart Martinez.
It has been reported that Mourinho was furious at having to
wait to conduct his post-match press conference because Martinez was speaking
in the media room first.
After finishing his press conference, Martinez left the room
and was speaking to other reporters outside when Mourinho walked past on his
way in.
"Roberto next time tell me go before you because we
have to travel," Mourinho is reported to have said in several national
newspapers.
Martinez tried to reply: ‘We don’t control that, Jose. I
don’t control that.’
It is at this point that Mourinho is alleged to have sworn
as he continued his way into the media room.
Mourinho was accompanied by Chelsea's head of communications
and public affairs Steve Atkins.
As Mourinho sat down to speak to press, there was a hint of
frustration as Atkins first said a few words to reporters.
He said: "Okay, if we could get going quickly that
would be great. It is only going to be about five minutes long.
"We had to wait for the home manager to go first and
all the players are on the bus, so we are going to be quick."
