Keiren Westwood signs new Sheffield Wednesday contract

Westwood, who arrived from Sunderland last summer, had entered the final year of his contract and it was unclear where his long-term future lay.

 

However the 30-year-old, who kept 17 clean sheets last term, has now drawn a line under speculation by penning a two-year contract extension

The Republic of Ireland international, who came through the ranks at Manchester City, played 45 times for Wednesday last season.
