Disgraced pop star Ariana Grande is spitting the truth: her doughnut-licking antics were "very offensive."
The "One Last Time" singer made her first TV appearance Tuesday since
she apparently licked doughnuts and proclaimed "I hate America" in a
California shop on July 4 — and she told "Good Morning America" that
she's learned from the slobbering mistake famously caught on
surveillance camera.
"My behavior was very offensive and I apologized," Grande said.
"There's no excuse, or there's nothing to justify it. I think as human
beings, we all say and do things that we don't mean at all sometimes."
The "Break Free" crooner claimed it was "an excruciating feeling" to
disappoint her many fans, but she swears she's grown after the highly
publicized incident.

"You have to remember your words, your actions have ramifications, and
you have to really think about what you're about to say and do, because
it's important," Grande said. "It's important to so many people."
This latest apology follows a pair of weaker versions
in which she said she was sorry, but didn't clarify whether she
actually licked the doughnuts, through a statement and online video.
Grande created headlines
when she wandered into Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore, California with
her boy toy Ricky Alvarez during the summer and appeared to lick and
slobber on a tray of doughnuts wrongly displayed on top of the counter.
When a fresh tray of particularly large doughnuts appeared, the
appalled singer began making disparaging comments about her proud
nation.
"What the f--- is that?" she asked. "I hate Americans. I hate America. That's disgusting!"
Grande had mostly stayed out of the public spotlight since the incident before Tuesday's television appearance.
