Amanda Bynes has enrolled back at the Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising (FIDM), after dropping out after the first semester last
year.
“We are all so proud of her,” her parents’ lawyer Tamar Arminak told E! News. “[We] can’t wait to see her amazing designs on the runway someday.”
The former child star, best known for her roles on Hairspray and She’s The Man, began a course in fashion design in January 2014, after revealing she was quitting acting.
But after just one term, the 29-year-old – who reportedly suffers with
schizophrenia - quit the course and headed to New York, estranging
herself from her family and posting bizarre Twitter posts.
Amanda was then temporarily placed under psychiatric hold at a
treatment facility mid last year, and was released from psychiatric
hospital in November.
In February, a source told E! News,
Amanda was “doing really great” and is “focusing on reading, yoga and
reconnecting with her family” and it’s been revealed that the star has
gone back to school to “pursue merchandise product development.”
