INTERVIEW: Mr. Nigeria International 2015 - KING MATTHEW MONDAY



King Matthew Monday is the current Mr. Nigeria International 2015 and in an interview with Chief Editor,  Endurance Robert  of  Bokissonthrone News, the poise king answers basic questions about his background, challenges and much more.

What makes you?? 


My name is Matthew Monday, an indigene of kogi state Dekina L.G.A, graduated of Caritas University 2015, i studied Computer Science Department. Matthew was born on October 4th 1993 in Benue state but was brought up in Ikoyi, Lagos.






 What one word describes you?
Uniqueness 

What is handsome according to you?
Handsome involves your attitude, personality and your physical appearance

Who was your favourite competitor and why?
My favourite competitor was Raymond (Mr. Nig. Int. Bayelsa) he is motivating and funny, he gives me the impression that I need to train and learn hard, he was my roommate in NISM camp, we do everything together especially the training and eating aspect. 

What gets you angry?
Nothing precisely, but sometimes people take you for a fool and I don’t really like it, but that’s what keeps me going thou.

Do you know why you won?
I believe its God doing, because I have always pray and ask him for that special gift and it was made perfect on my birthday which is the grand finale.

Was there any discrimination as a poise king after you won?

Not really, you know human needs is unsatisfied, but for now, I haven’t heard about any.

What do you like to do for fun?
I love to mingle with different people, share common ideas, empower them and carry every one along above all I love sports.

What were your expectations during the competition?
Apart from the fact that it was challenging, i heard the faith of receiving special birthday gift, which divinely fall to be the NISM 2015 crown.

What are your primary focus for the brand?
I intend to bring out the uniqueness of NISM brand in the modelling industry by going out to empower, show love and work more in our society, bringing out opportunities for young people to discover and show their talents, and then going international to achieve more and make the brand proud of me.

What new thing have you learned about yourself today?
Ability for me to believe in self-empowerment no matter the life situation.

How can the brand better monitor and ensure that the office you are holding is active, integrity and honesty?
As previously mentioned on the intentions of making the brand proud both home and international, they would be part of the programme am running and always get a feedback, my action would be a loud speaker to the nation about ‘Nigeria International Supermodel Model’ and the qualities that makes them unique and versatile beyond my power by God’s grace.

How would you place value on the audience that voted for as winner?
Sincerely speaking, if I had my way I would play a huge role in the life of everyone that supported me and also voted for me as a winner, not leaving my enemies behind who gave double reason on me to move faster to greater height.

What is your own fashion style like?
Simple and plain but in a peculiar way.

Where did you grow up and what is your family?
I  grew up in  Ikoyi, Lagos island precise, where you get to see different styles and attitude, on like every other family mine wasn’t so different, we so put God first in everything we do no matter how small or big it is, we are not as rich as wished but God sustaining power has been keeping us all through.

Tell us if you actually over shadow the top of your game in the pageant?
Left to me I would say yes I did because my whole mind set was focused on putting my best above my strength in other to excel in the competition.

Please share with us what you think it means to be a professional poise and etiquette and how you would portray that as a winner?
A professional poise and etiquette must be respectful, confident, lack of fear, the way you stand sit and behave in public. Well I am a model of poise and etiquette.

How did you get along with your room in camp?
At first we were friends from the first impression that is the photo shot, trying to help each other put things in place for the photos to be a better one not having fully in mind the usefulness of the photos, but with time when everything was done and when room were assigned to contestants we got to know that we were roommates so judging from the closeness we already had it became so easy for us work things out together.

Tell us the time when you were discipline in camp and what happened?
It was a period for evening cat walking session and I slept off not knowing that they have started the session, so I came late and I was asked to sleep on the floor for fifteen minutes as my punishment. Lol

What is your selling point as a groomed model?
My selling points are my Height, my steps, my physiques.

Give a peek in the world of pageant king?
The poise, style, cuteness of the king

Who has the great influence in your life?
My mom, she has being a great impact in handling me and my siblings, she empowers me not to give up on things even when they gently try to sleep away from my reach, she put me in great act. Mummy i love you!!!
