Jennifer Lopeztells Ocean Drive magazine her new
residency in Las Vegas will bring out Jenny from the Block. “I want it
to be a high-energy, Bronx kind of block party,” said J.Lo, who
performed at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday.
“I want people to really let loose.” Lopez says getting her mom to
visit her in Vegas shouldn’t be hard. “Even if she weren’t (a fan of
gambling), she would still come and see me,” Lopez said..
APATOW’S DISARMING EFFORT
Judd Apatowis stepping up his support for gun violence
prevention. The “Trainwreck” director is working with Crowdrise for a
campaign that benefits Everytown for Gun Safety, the nation’s largest
gun violence prevention organization. Apatow is giving away five pairs
of tickets to his sold-out show at Carnegie Hall on Nov. 14, and a grand
prize winner will win two round-trip tickets to New York and two
tickets to the Carnegie Hall show. He’ll also give a separate grand
prize winner the opportunity to shadow him on the set of his new HBO
show, “Crashing."
AWARDS GALORE
J.J. Abrams, Bryan Cranston, Robert Downey Jr., Stephen Frears, Saoirse Ronan and Seth MacFarlane
will all present awards at BAFTA’s British Academy Britannia Awards in
Los Angeles presented by American Airlines. British actor and comedian
Jack Whitehall will host the show, and Harrison Ford, Orlando Bloom, Meryl Streep, Sam Mendes, and James Corden will receive awards. The ceremony will take place Oct. 30 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and air on Pop on Nov. 6.
