Don’t cast Tom Cruise as a bad daddy just yet!
The actor may not have attended his daughter Bella’s wedding in London
last month, but neither did any other of the parents of the bride or
groom, sources told TMZ.
Instead, the 22-year-old Bella, who is Cruise’s adopted daughter with
ex-wife Nicole Kidman, and her betrothed, Max Parker, opted for a small
affair with friends, according to the report.
The “Mission: Impossible” star did, however, make it his mission to pay
for the wedding and reception at the swanky Dorchester hotel on Sept.
18.
Reports had circulated earlier that Tom Cruise had skipped the nuptials
because his new son-in-law isn’t a member of the Church of Scientology,
but TMZ’s sources disputed those claims. Bella, a hair dresser, is
known as an avowed Scientologist.
Parker, a British IT consultant, and his then-fiancée spent the Christmas holidays with the actor.
Cruise’s public image as a father has taken some nicks since his divorce
with Katie Holmes, which has severely limited his access to daughter
Suri.
