Venetian Marsk |
Now’s your chance to stand out from the crowd this Halloween with a
one-of-a-kind hand-crafted Venetian mask – all for a good cause.
VIVO Masks — which normally sells high-quality and authentic masquerade
masks— is offering a $250,000 custom fitted golden sun mask with 100%
of the net proceeds going to support breast cancer research and early
detection.
"The thing that we realized with masks, there was this problem where
you would get invited to a formal event, but you wouldn't want to wear a
plastic mask from a local costume store," said VIVO Masks cofounder
Jackson Cunningham, whose clients include celebrities and high-profile
business people.
"So we started selling these products from Italy, but this just takes
it to the next level," he said, adding that their most prized mask is a
perfect parallel with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which helps
people affected by the disease.
“We haven't sold to Brad Pitt, but this would be the level of celebrity
that we sold to, just to give you an idea,” Cunningham said.
The Magnificent Sole Lux was put up for sale at the beginning of October to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
It is hand-painted and signed by three world-renowned Italian artists,
features a 24 carat gold crown that bursts with crystals, beads and
seven different types of diamonds.
The sun mask also has some of the most expensive materials including
vicuña wool from the Andes and Mulberry Silk and is professionally
molded to your face.
According to Cunningham, this is the "most special mask in the world,"
if you are a mask collector and happen to have that sum of money just
sitting around.
“I would buy it if I had the money,” he said.
