It's no wonder red-hot actress Allison Williams looks so thin in her new photo spread in Harper's Bazaar magazine — she’s a lousy cook.
"Not only am I bad at it, but I also have some kind of inability to learn," she tells the magazine.
The 27-year-old Williams, who serves as a guest editor and shows some
series skin in the magazine's forthcoming issue, says she usually orders
out. But when she does decide to cook, it's usually a disaster.
"The salad is done first and is soggy by the time you eat, the pasta is
al dente, but not in a good way. And I'm perpetually worried that the
meat is going to poison everyone, so it ends up being black."
The famous daughter of MSNBC anchor Brian Williams has much more
confidence in her clothing style than she does in her ability to make
pasta.
The actress says she has a seemingly endless collection of button
downs, and she likes to pair sweaters and boots with her trademark
article of clothing: jeans.
"Clothes are fun — it's dress up for adults," she said. "I'd like to call my style easy, timeless, and rustic preppy."
And often underneath what you see is Williams' wide collection of
Spanx's formfitting apparel, which she says is a staple of her everyday
wardrobe.
"I wear them almost every day," she told the magazine. "They have a
little control top, so they're flattering. I'll often stay in exercise
clothes all day."
Williams stars as Marnie Michaels on HBO's popular comedy series,
"Girls," which was created by her co-star, comedian Lena Dunham.
In September, Williams married her longtime boyfriend Ricky Van Veen,
who is one of the co-founders of the CollegeHumor website.
