The defender, who played briefly for United and has won
every major honour since joining Barca, was speaking to the Telegraph ahead of
Spain's friendly against England.
Pique said if the Liga clubs switched domestic
competitions, it was not a given that they would be crowned champions
at the first attempt.
"I think that if Barcelona or Real Madrid goes to the Premier League then the
first year of playing there, there is no chance of winning it," the
28-year-old said, insisting it was a discussion that could last hours.
Pique cited Stoke as an example of how difficult it is to
win England's top trophy and said if Man United or reigning champions Chelsea went to Spain, it would take them time
to win La Liga.
