Kendall Jenner, Taylor Swift top most popular Instagram photos of the year

It was Kendall Jenner that broke the Internet this year.
Kendall Jenner officially had the most liked photo on Instagram, with this shot being liked 3.2 million times. The photo sharing app released their annual Instagram Year in Review on Thursday and the reality starlet dethroned her selfie queen sister, Kim Kardashian, with the most liked photo in 2015.

A snapshot of the 20-year-old lying angelic-like on the ground with her hair positioned into hearts was all the rage this year, collecting 3.2 million likes since it was posted in May.

Kendall's locks eclipsed her famous sister's wedding photograph to Kanye West, which topped the same list in 2014 with 2.4 million likes.
The defeat is impressive as Kardashian is the third most followed star on Instagram with 53.3 million followers roughly 11 million more than Jenner.
Fans also threw more likes at her younger sister, Kylie Jenner who landed in fourth place.
The younger Jenner's graduation shot over the summer raked in 2.3 million likes.
Kendell appears again on the list closing it out with a seductive selfie in the tenth spot and her older Kardashian sisters didn't even make the cut.
Even though the model nabbed the top spot on the star-studded list, it was pop star Taylor Swift who truly dominated Instagram with a record five appearances in the top ten of liked photos.

Fans pressed the heart button 2.6 million times for Swift's snap of a bouquet of flowers sent by Kanye West after the Video Music Awards, coming in second place.
Closely behind was picture proof in June of her buzzed-about relationship with Calvin Harris, which was liked 2.5 million times.

The "Bad Blood" singer saw a whopping 73% increase in Instagram followers in 2015, making her the most followed celebrity with 57.2 million followers.
The 25-year-old also took the sixth, eighth and ninth spot on the list. Though the honor is shared with her cat, who graced all three selfies.

The list was rounded out by a mother-daughter shot of Beyoncé and Blue Ivy and a steamy sweatshirt selfie of Selena Gomez, both tied with 2.3 million likes.
In non-celebrity news, Instagram revealed the most popular hashtag on the site was "#love."
