Clearly Khloe Kardashian is not cracked up to be a real baker.
The reality star showed off her homemade cheesecake on Instagram on
Sunday, a sunken, fissured, overly glossy homemade treat in hopes of
silencing critics who were outraged last week when she tried to pass off
store-bought pies as her own.
“I’ll be showing you a step by step as to how to make this delicious
cheesecake. Yummmm!!!!” she posted with a pic of a cheesecake with a
gaping crack down the center, and pieces pinched out of the sides.
And as a pre-emptive strike against the haters, Kardashian was defensive about her amateur treat.
“Why waste your time being so negative?!?! It’s a f---ing cheesecake.
Grow up,” she wrote, blaming the missing pieces on “some little
munchkins” who couldn’t wait to try it.
But many of her commenters weren’t biting. “That doesn’t look too good,” wrote user kianashanee.
Other posters with more kitchen experience were quick to offer
Kardashian some baking tips — even though she’s the one with a cooking
app.
“Khloe if you put a glass pan with water when you bake you won’t get the crack in the middle,” wrote Instagrammer alpacagem.
“It helps if you use room temperature ingredients, it won't give you any cracks in the cheesecake!” added user alexx—rothh.
The “Strong Looks Better Naked” author got her just desserts last week
when she lied about the Thanksgiving pumpkin, pecan and cherry pies she
posted to Instagram as her own handiwork. The pies were actually
purchased for $32 each from the Sweet Lady Jane bakery in Encino, Calif.
“The nerve. When I saw the pies on her table I thought, ‘She has to be kidding me,’” bakery owner Jane Lockhart told the Daily News. “Nobody has ever stolen our identity like that before.”
Kardashian responded to the hy-pie-crasy by posting an Instagram snap
flashing her middle finger and Tweeting, “Petty motherf---ers! I have
real s--t going on in my life. Try not to choke on my nuts. You're
sucking them pretty hard.”
