Bombastic comic Margaret Cho is joining E!’s “Fashion Police” for at least one season when the show returns in 2016.
Cho is the latest bold-faced name to join the embattled show that has weathered a revolving door of hosts since its star, Joan Rivers died in 2014.
Kathy Griffin and former co-host Kelly Osbourne abruptly quit the show earlier this year.
Griffin had been hired to replace Rivers. She and Osbourne left “Fashion Police”
last winter after co-host Giuliana Rancic made offensive comments about
actress Zendaya’s dreadlocked hair at the Oscars, saying, “I feel like she smells like patchouli oil.”
With the addition of Cho -- who was described by network officials as a
"special co-host though the 2016 season" -- the still-catty “Fashion Police” panel will be comprised of Rancic, Brad Goreski and Melissa Rivers.
“Fashion Police” returns with Golden Globes coverage on Jan. 11, the day after the award show.
On each episode, the panel will be joined by a celebrity guest, E! officials said.
