It was the biggest mistake in the universe.
A beauty pageant winner had the shortest reign ever when a prime-time
blunder forced officials to strip her of her crown and sash.
Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, was in beauty pageant heaven after host Steve Harvey announced her as the winner of Sunday night's Miss Universe pageant.
A beaming Gutierrez was smiling and waving until it was announced that Pia Wurtzback, Miss Philippines, was the true winner.
Harvey, the host of Family Feud, and a stand-up comedian by trade, took the fall.
Survey says… a big mistake.
"I want to apologize emphatically to Miss Philippians and Miss Columbia," Harvey tweeted, spelling both countries wrong.
"This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful."
Gutierrez looked shocked as her moment in the sun faded fast.

Not everyone was hard on Harvey.
".@IAmSteveHarvey has done it again," tweeted basketball legend Magic Johnson. "an incredible job hosting the Miss Universe Pageant!"
"Steve Harvey
made a mistake tonight, we've all made mistakes in our careers &
lives. @IAmSteveHarvey keep the faith and keep going strong," he tweeted
moments after.
