Madonna’s one meddling mama, attempting to control her teenage son Rocco’s diet, friends and curfew. And it might be off to military school, if her 15-year-old son comes home to New York.

A source across the pond, who has worked with Madge’s ex-husband (and
Rocco’s dad) Guy Ritchie, tells Confidenti@l that Rocco is begging to
live with his dad in London because life is “easier,” and he’s able to
“have a girlfriend” when he’s there. Rocco was also being threatened
with a “military type” boarding school by his “Material Girl” mom, our
insider dishes, in hopes that it would straighten him out.
“He’s not being dragged around like a dancing puppet (in London),” says
our source. “He can meet his friends, eat fast food, he doesn’t have an
early curfew. The story is his father manipulated him, which couldn’t
be farther from the truth. Rocco has a life and friends (in London) and
he can have girlfriends and be in one place.”
Madonna, who keeps a strict macrobiotic diet and barely sips alcohol, had been traveling on her “Rebel Heart Tour” for
two months, with Rocco helping behind the scenes. The grueling schedule
and travel made it impossible for the teen to maintain a relationship
with a girl he liked in New York. Our source says Madonna is threatening
him with boot camp as a last-ditch effort to get Rocco in line.
“(Madonna) is impossible to work with and impossible to live with for a
15-year-old boy. He has no freedom under her. She tells him he’s going
away to school,” says our source. “His life (in London) is not strict,
he’s not Madonna’s son, he’s more like a regular teen. Guy lives a very
normal life, Rocco is not on movie sets, if he doesn’t want to be
there.”
Rocco, who divides his time between his mom’s Manhattan pad, touring
around the world and his dad’s place in London, has been enjoying his
time in Britain. TMZ reported that it was Madge’s ex who encouraged Rocco's feelings of discontent with his famous mom, leading the teen to decide against returning home to live with her.
He was spotted skateboarding around London on Sunday, where his
passport is held for safekeeping by a lawyer who is representing him in
the transatlantic custody battle.
“He would love to go to school there (in London) full time,” says our source.
Meanwhile, Madonna spent Christmas with her other three children,
Lourdes, 19; David Banda, 10, and Mercy, 9, posting pictures of her
celebration on Instagram. Missing Rocco, she posted a picture of the two
of them together, captioning it: “Merry X-mas to the Sun-shine of my
life! XOXOXOX.”
