An Umbrella with a Bluetooth-based 'proximity chip' makes the Big Difference.

Never leave your umbrella behind at a restaurant again.
The new Davek Alert Umbrella boasts a Bluetooth-based “proximity chip” that can be read by your smart phone once you sync them, and will send you an alert if you accidently leave it somewhere. There are blue and black options for the umbrella, which was partly the result of a Kickstarter campaign.
It’s the company’s first umbrella that uses advanced beacon location technology.

The Davek Alert Umbrella syncs to your smart phone and sounds an alert if you walk away from it.
On top of making it difficult to misplace your protection during rainy days, the umbrella is also designed to be extremely durable, with its core support rib composed of steel, aircraft-grade aluminum and flexible fiberglass. The shaft is 100% solid steel.
Putting technology to good use, the umbrella's designed to be almost impossible to lose.
The tech-savvy accessory, created with help from Kickstarter supporters and sold on davekny.com for $125, alerts owners if they stray about 30 feet from it.
Long gone are the days of getting caught in the rain after losing your umbrella during a night out.
