First Transgender bride on TLC’s ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ wants to look like royalty

The first transgender bride on the “Say Yes to the Dress” series wants to look like a queen for her big day.
The episode on Friday’s “Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta” on TLC at 9 p.m., showcases transgender bride Precious Davis, who is set to marry her transgender groom, Myles Brady.
“I am looking for something with high drama, something eccentric, like me,” she says.
Wearing a royal blue day dress and accompanied by two men of honor, whom she calls “my chosen family,” Davis knows precisely what she wants.

While there are brides who go for sedate, classic dresses, Davis says, “I want something very ornate: mermaid cut.”
She has a year to plan the perfect event, and then she and her intended plan to tie the knot at Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago in front of 1,000 guests.
“We want people to be inspired of what love can look like in its many forms,” Davis says. “We want to bring this kind of royalty because we feel we are royalty.”
Brady was not shown in the brief clip supplied and a TLC spokeswoman explains that the grooms do not get to be part of the process in the store, Bridals by Lori.
Davis never considered a ball gown before and tries one on, but which she picks won’t be revealed until airtime. All the show will allow before it airs is that Davis does find the dress of her dreams.
Davis has one other thing that most brides don’t — money.
“Our budget is unlimited,” she says.
