LOS ANGELES -- Jennifer Lawrence didn't feel bad about beating her close friend Amy Schumer at the Golden Globes.
"She's gonna be fine," she said after winning best actress in a comedy or musical.
"It wasn't a matter of feeling bad. I mean, because she's, you know,
she's funny and hilarious and will win many things," Lawrence said
backstage.
The "Joy" actress said she arrived at the event expecting Schumer to win.
"This was very, truly surprising to me," she said. "I was just really surprised."
Lawrence said she and Schumer originally planned to dress as twins but she screwed it up.
"Yeah, but then I blew it. I blew it by talking about it. Because then if we did it, it would be expected," she said.
She said it's no surprise she rolls with a "gang" of other Hollywood stars.
"It's a small business. It's like high school," she said. "It's a tiny pool."
